We all know Air Trecks are incredibly expensive, and parts can be easily broken or torn if enough force is used on them. Riders don't always have money to gain new parts, and for that reason the convenient Parts War system was created, where one can wage whatever part for the chance of winning a different one. Even though illegal on the streets and there is no real official Air Trecks Rulebook, there are still rules that are commonly known amongst riders, this including the parts war system. In here will be a list of rules concerning Parts War.

1. Parts War, albeit illegal, is an official term for the system used by storm riders. As such, one without an approved R.E.A.D profile cannot participate. Watching is okay though.

2. Parts War goes in team battles and therefore only registered teams and riders are allowed to enter. A newly registered team, regardless of who takes part in it, always starts as F-rank and has to work its way up.

3. Parts War is divided to ranks and each rank consists of a different battle style:
F - Race. The most basic, riders are to match their speed and control of ATs against each other.
E - Hurdle. A slightly more difficult task involving jumps and wall rides, riders are to compete against one another in a hurdle-including race of the sort.
D - Cube. Known as the most dangerous class, cube battles can take place anywhere so long as it has 4 walls. Enclosed in these walls as the 'boundaries', riders are to fight each other.
C - Air. The final of the 'toturial' classes, Air battles base over air time and basically staying away from the ground as long as possible. This class probably has the most variations to it.
B - Disc. The first of the higher classes, disc requires utter teamwork from all participants on a team, with the main objective involving a flying disc, mostly scoring points.
A - Balloon. A harder type of battle class. Divided respectively to different tasks in the battle, the 5 players would try to reach the rising, hovering balloon first before the opposing team.

4. While teams can have as many riders as one could hope for, Parts War battles allow only up to 5 riders from each team. Less riders in a battle obviously means less chances of victory for a team, and therefore 5 would be the ideal number.

5. In spite of having to have registered as a team or a rider to play, simply anybody can watch a battle. You're allowed to watch after only your character is approved. Even if you watch though, your posts are not included in the posting order of the match and you may post only once per order round. You may watch up to 2 battles at the same time. To watch, one must make a post in mid-battle not affecting the battle, stating in overall they're there to watch.

6. A team that wishes to advance in rank must win in battle against a team of higher rank - or win 3 times in a row against teams from their class. While the fastest way to gain rank is indeed challenging teams of higher rank, gaining experience quicker is through row wins. Choice is up to the team.

7. Parts War battles will always have a motive of the sort, in the most common case being a certain team desiring a part a different team has. In Parts War, both teams must wage something in their possession: parts, money, territory or even their emblem. The amount of things you can wage is unlimited, but the risk always exists.

8. Regarding substitutes: a team can have as many substitutes as they can get generally, but amongst Parts War rules there is one that states only a single substitute may participate in a battle. The substitute in question can be anyone from anywhere, from any team or a hired rider. Substituting players is a rather common thing in battle.

9. During battle, the participants may use anything to their hearts' content - so long as it is in the boundaries. Things brought into battle before it's begun are allowed, while thimgs brought mid-battle aren't.

10. A TEAM THAT HAPPENS TO LOSE THEIR EMBLEM IN BATTLE IS DISBANDED. However, it can be reformed as a whole new team (Sabletiger from the Manga/Anime returned as Pink Panthers).

11. A battle can be demanded once either team challenges the other, on the net or by putting their sticker over the others' - making the battle official and available to watch. If non of these cases was called, the battle held is unofficial and counts as 'practice', 'training', 'friendly' and so on.

12. While each class has its own style, a battle can be taken into infinite variations. Each variation must have certain rules for that specific battle, which the teams usually choose (in the actual manga, Ikki's and Magaki's battle was considered C-class while Kogarasumaru and Animal House, despite being completely different, also counted as a C-class Air. In these battles the conditions, waged thing and rules were completely different).
